Requirements to Use HomeKit, Siri

HomeKit operates on iOS 11 or a newer version on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
To use Siri or the Apple Home app when you are away from home, you need to have set up an Apple hub, which means one of the following 3 devices:

  • Apple TV,
  • HomePod,
  • iPad.
