The appliance operates in thermodynamic mode for an outdoor air temperature ranging from -7°C to +35°C. Outside of this range, it operates on its electric backup.
Without ducts, in a technical room with a floor area 20 m², unheated, and isolated from neighboring heated rooms.
With insulated ducts on both the suction and discharge sides with an inner diameter of 160 mm over a total length of 10 m in flexible ducting (20 m in smooth ducting), with an equivalent of 1 m for each elbow.
In all cases, the room where the appliance is located must have a minimum floor area of 4 m² if it is not ventilated.

Accepted Answer

Your device incorporates an operating logic to regulate energy consumption based on the required comfort.
We recommend pairing your device with Auer control accessories that will enable more advanced logic and further optimize its operation:

Outdoor sensor (ref. 710157): Automatically adjusts radiator water temperature and switches between SUMMER and WINTER modes.
Thermostat (ref. 710043, ref. 710044, or ref. 710172) or room sensor (ref. 751009): Regulates heating based on the actual comfort temperature reached in the environment.

We also advise scheduling your installation to adapt its operation to your presence habits in your home.
Lastly, for additional savings, we recommend limiting the temperature of your environment.
ADEME recommends a comfort temperature of 19°C.

What do the ETE / HIVER modes mean ?

These are operating modes that work with distinct temperature settings (each level is associated with a different setpoint). Simply switching from one level to another immediately activates the setting adapted to your needs:

COMFORT Mode: Suitable for when you're present in the house, with a high ambient temperature setting (customizable setpoint, typically set around 19-20°C).
ECO Mode: Suitable for nighttime or short absences (less than 2 days) with a reduced ambient temperature setting (customizable setpoint, typically set around 16-17°C).
FROST PROTECTION Mode: Suitable for extended absences (more than 2 days) with a minimal ambient temperature setting to protect the house against freezing risks (customizable setpoint, typically set around 7°C).

How do I switch my Cylia thermodynamic water heater to antibacterial mode ?

Accepted Answer

During the Legionella prevention cycle, the water temperature is raised to 60°C by the heat pump.
If the hot water setting is already set to 60°C, there will be no Legionella prevention cycle since it is permanent.
If a cycle is interrupted by a prohibition period (EDF signal or other external contact), it will be restarted at the next authorization period.
Once the temperature reaches 60°C, the cycle stops automatically.

How do I switch my thermodynamic water heater to antibacterial mode?

Press and hold the "Turbo" button for 3 seconds to enter the menu.
Press the "Turbo" button twice to access the "Antibacterial Mode".
Confirm the function with the "Temperature" button.

The programming allows you to define time slots for operation in "eco", "comfort", or "off" (HG) modes. In "eco" mode, the electric boost is not allowed.

- H-G = Frost protection mode

How to change the water temperature ?

In the menu (press the menu button), navigate to WATER TEMP. (turn the dial) and confirm (press the dial), adjust the setpoint (turn the dial), and confirm (press the dial).
Press the menu button to return to the main screen.

Limiting the operation of EDEL to off-peak hours.

Accepted Answer

We recommend allowing the water heater to operate freely outside of peak/off-peak tariff constraints. This allows your water heater to benefit from higher daytime air temperatures for better performance. As a result, you'll have more hot water available throughout the day with minimal impact on operating costs.
However, if you wish to limit the operation to off-peak hours only, connect the dry contact output labeled "off-peak hours" from the electrical meter to the HP/HC input of EDEL.
In the installer menu, set the DELESTAGE parameter to 0 if you wish to completely prohibit operation during peak hours (or to 1 if you only want to restrict electric backup operation during peak hours).

How to program comfort and economy periods ?

Most intuis devices include a weekly programming feature, allowing you to adapt the operation of your system to your presence/absence schedule at home. For each day of the week, you can choose the time slots during which you want either the COMFORT mode or the ECO mode. Refer to your device manual to adjust this setting.

For products in the range that do not have built-in programming, this function can be achieved using our regulation accessories:

For boilers and heat pumps: programmable thermostat TH (ref. 710044) or wireless programmable thermostat TH RNC (ref. 710172).

For gas radiators and inserts: external programming kit (see references according to the type of radiator or insert you want to control).

Question 11

If you're leaving for a few days, what should you do with your setup?

Accepted Answer

For absences longer than 2 days, we recommend the following:

For products equipped with interfaces, use the VACATION mode of your device, accessible through the "menu" button.
For other products, put your device in STANDBY mode (via the power/standby button) while keeping it powered on to ensure frost protection and circulator protection cycles.

Always prefer these 2 modes (VACATION mode or STANDBY mode) rather than unplugging your device. They provide overall protection for the installation that would not be guaranteed if you disconnected the power supply.

How to turn off your device ?

Do not unplug or cut off the power supply to your device under any circumstances.
Put your device in STANDBY mode by pressing the standby button (short or long press depending on your device).
In standby mode, your device protects the heating circuit and hot water storage against freezing.

To activate a rapid temperature increase (TURBO function)

Accepted Answer

In the menu (press the menu button), go to ELEC MODE (turn the dial) and confirm (press the dial), set it to "YES" (turn the dial) and confirm (press the dial).
The TURBO function simultaneously uses the thermodynamic cycle and electric heating for accelerated temperature rise.
When the TURBO function is activated, the "electric heating" icon flashes at the top of the display.
The function deactivates automatically once the water reaches the set temperature.

Why doesn't the water heater start ?

Question 16

The buttons are not working. The screen is unresponsive.

Your screen is likely locked, and you should see a key displayed on the screen.
Press and hold the "menu" button for 3 seconds until the key disappears (on some products, the screen also confirms the 3-second countdown with the message "DEVE ROUI."). The screen will then be unlocked.

Do you hear a noise in your radiators ?

Accepted Answer

It is likely that there are air bubbles in your heating system.
Bleed the air from the system by opening the bleed valves located on the noisiest or highest radiators in your setup (for example, in the upstairs bedrooms).
Use a cloth and proceed radiator by radiator. When you open the valve, air should escape. Use the cloth to protect the surroundings from any splashes. As soon as the heating water starts to come out, close the valve.
Be careful not to burn yourself: first, turn off your heating system and wait for your radiators to cool down before opening the bleed valves.
After this operation, the heating pressure may become too low: then, add water to the heating system using the filling valve (valve connecting the domestic water system to the heating circuit). Make sure not to exceed 1.5 bar.
If the heating system has been properly bled but the noise persists, contact your installer.

Question 18

What to do if your device indicates low pressure ?

You can gradually add water to the heating system using the filling valve located on the hot water network. The fault will disappear automatically when the pressure is sufficient again in the heating circuit.
For Mixed and Profusion boilers, this valve is integrated into the boiler and is located at the bottom on the hydraulic bar.

Check that the sanitary setting matches the temperature you desire at your taps.
If the discomfort persists, contact your installer.
