Heat pumps are increasingly favored by users, particularly due to the energy savings they provide. intuis offers the HTi70 (High Temperature Inverter) and the HRC70 (High Compression Ratio), two French ranges of air/water heat pumps that stand out for their technical characteristics and specific performances, notably thanks to the R290 refrigerant, which has a low environmental impact. Here's an explanation.

What are the differences between the Intuis HTi70 and HRC70 heat pumps?

Manufactured in France in our local factories, the intuis HTi70 and HRC70 high-temperature heat pumps are designed to heat water up to 70°C with 100% thermodynamic operation, even at -20°C outside air temperature: ensuring excellent performance and continuous comfort. The HTi70 and HRC70 ranges indeed meet increased requirements for efficiency and performance.

In the case of the intuis HTi70 heat pump, "High Temperature" indicates that you can produce heating for a water temperature regime exceeding 65°C without the need for an additional heat source. "Inverter" means that the power modulation is adjusted according to the required needs, unlike a reversible system.

In the case of the intuis HRC70 heat pump, two TOR* compressors inside operate in stages. They have two different powers depending on the season. During extremely cold weather, the two compressors work together for optimized efficiency.

* "Tout Ou Rien" or "On/OFF," meaning either 0% or 100% of its capacity.

The HTi70 heat pump from Intuis

The HTi70 heat pump from intuis is a highly efficient range, boasting an A+++ energy efficiency rating. The HTi70 solution operates at 100% thermodynamics down to -20°C outside air temperature without requiring additional electric backup and is compatible with all high, medium, and low-temperature hydraulic emitters.

It's a high-performance, cost-effective solution with minimal environmental impact suitable for individual homes, whether new or undergoing renovation, for both heating and domestic hot water production.

With a wide power modulation range (from 6 to 14 kW in single-phase or three-phase), the HTi70 stands out for its precision. Its inverter compressor modulates power from 15 to 100% to maintain radiator temperatures within a degree, depending on external conditions.

Its heating power increases as the air temperature decreases. Without a gas connection, its installation is made easy by a simple hydraulic connection.

The HRC70 and HTi70 heat pumps use the environmentally friendly R290 refrigerant (a natural fluid without HFC) not subject to the European F-GAS regulation, which requires a GWP* of less than 150. The R290 has an index of 3, which has an almost negligible impact on the environment.

Furthermore, the elimination of installation and maintenance constraints related to HFCs through the use of R290 makes it practical for your customers, as well as its low electrical consumption, made possible by a simple 16A electrical supply*. This advantage allows individuals to achieve more savings.

Good to know: R290, also known as Propane, is an alternative to fluorinated hydrocarbons (known as F gases), unlike the synthetic refrigerants R410A and R32, which are recognized as harmful to the environment.

intuis is the only manufacturer to offer a range of heat pumps and thermodynamic water heaters 100% using R290.

Its ultra-modulation allows it to adapt to every situation and need. With such adaptability, the intuis HTi70 range is compatible with all types of hydraulic emitters such as floors, ceilings, radiators, and fan-coil units.

Finally, its normative COP exceeding 5 for an outdoor temperature of +7°C and a water temperature regime of 35°C offers over 80% savings.

The intuis HRC70 heat pump

The intuis HRC70 heat pump is an innovative range, specially designed for domestic, commercial, tertiary, industrial, and agricultural applications, both for new construction and renovation projects.

This heat pump features a modulating high temperature capability up to 70°C, ranging from 17 to 40 kW and up to 96 kW in cascade. Its modular power is the innovative combination of two compressors with different power levels and high compression ratio, which adjust the power according to the requirements of the central heating system, even on extremely cold days.

The intuis HRC70 heat pump

With an A++ energy efficiency rating, the intuis HRC70 heat pump is also equipped with a multifunction hydraulic controller: a turnkey solution for both heating and domestic hot water.

The HRC70 range is high-performing with a standard COP of up to 4.8, and it is also quiet thanks to meticulous design.

It's worth noting that this heat pump is suitable for all types of projects: for renovation projects, the High Temperature capability allows for the replacement of an existing boiler without needing to change the radiators. In new construction, it achieves high performance for lower water temperatures, while also providing domestic hot water and anti-legionella cycles.

Good to know: We also have a range with higher power capacities ranging from 60 to 80 kW and cascadeable up to 1.2 MW.
