Minimizing Interference Risks

Check the distance between the router and the Wi-Fi module (the one powered by mains). Walls and certain surfaces can absorb the wireless signal. If this improves connectivity, it is advisable to install a Wi-Fi repeater in the room where you want to install your Netatmo product.
It is preferable that the Wi-Fi module and the router are not located:
- Behind a television.
- Near an aquarium.
- In or on a metal object.
- In a closed piece of furniture.
- Near multiple wires or electrical cables.
- Near another wireless device.
If you have any of these devices at home, temporarily turn them off and check if the connection is restored (this may take up to 15 minutes):
- Laptop, tablet, cordless phone, etc.
- Printer, speaker, and any other wireless device.
- IP camera.
- Microwave (while running).

If this improves the situation, try increasing the distance between the Netatmo products and the affected device. It may not be possible to use them at the same time.

Access Point Configuration

Basic

Restart the Wi-Fi router.
If there are multiple Wi-Fi access points (repeater, amplifier, extender) in your network, make sure to set a different network name (SSID) for each access point. Then, ensure that the Wi-Fi module is configured to connect to the access point with the strongest signal.

Advanced

For the following steps, connect to the Wi-Fi router's administration interface. To do this, refer to the router's user manual.

Note: If there is no manual, search on a web browser for "how to access 'router name'".

If the router is compatible with the WPA3 security standard, ensure that WPA2 is also enabled (Netatmo products can only connect in WPA2). If "WPA2/WPA3 mixed mode" is not available, use WPA2 only.
If possible, update the router's software version.
Choose a simpler Wi-Fi password, without special characters.
Ensure that no MAC filtering is enabled on the router (or ensure that the Relay is on the list of authorized devices).
Ensure that access restrictions (parental controls, etc.) are disabled.
Check if the router has a sleep function. If so, disable it (especially if Netatmo products disconnect and reconnect every day at the same time).
Disable Wi-Fi channel usage restrictions (enable automatic selection), or select channels 1, 6, or 11.
If the router is compatible with the 5GHz network, ensure that the 2.4GHz network is also enabled (Intuis Connect products are compatible only with 2.4GHz networks) and that the two networks have different names (SSIDs).
If possible, disable the 5GHz network.
Check if the UPnP network protocol is enabled. Its use is recommended.
If possible, replace the current DNS servers with those of Google (primary server: 8.8.8.8 / secondary server: 8.8.4.4).
Check if the router has a firewall/port filtering. If yes:
- Open port 25050 (TCP).
- Assign a fixed IP to the Wi-Fi module with its MAC address.

Question 2

Using Intuis Connect on a hidden Wi-Fi network

Accepted Answer

You must have a visible Wi-Fi network to use Intuis Connect with Netatmo. It can be secured in the following ways:

WEP
WPA
WPA2-PSK (TKIP and AES)

We recommend using a WPA2-PSK TKIP network as other securities are now considered vulnerable.

Question 3

Connecting Wi-Fi with the Intuis Connect solution

Accepted Answer

The Intuis Connect with Netatmo solution can only be configured on a personal Wi-Fi network. It cannot access the Internet via a public (hot-spot) network or via a corporate network that filters ports.

To operate, the Wi-Fi router must integrate Multicast and Bonjour technologies.

The modules are compatible with Wi-Fi standards 802.11 b/g/n if the network security settings are set to WEP, WPA, or WPA2-Personal.

This solution only works with 2.4 GHz frequency Wi-Fi technology.

5 GHz networks are not supported.

Question 4

I am unable to connect my module to Wi-Fi

Accepted Answer

During installation, make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (your home network) to which you want your module to connect.

Remarks

Some Wi-Fi networks are not compatible with Intuis Connect products:
- Enterprise and public networks.
- Networks operating only on the 5GHz frequency.
- Networks with connection portals.
Some networks using wireless repeaters may cause improper functioning of Netatmo products.
Ensure that your smartphone/tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that will be used for the module or Gateway before starting the Wi-Fi connection procedure.
Check that your smartphone picks up Wi-Fi next to your heating system.

Steps

Restart the Wi-Fi router.
Uninstall the intuis connect app, restart the smartphone or tablet, then reinstall the intuis connect app. No historical data or settings will be lost in this process.
Check the power supply operation: of the module in the radiator or of the Gateway.
If the Module or Gateway needs to connect to a Wi-Fi repeater, assign a different name (SSID) to the repeater than to your router. If this still does not work, try connecting the Relay directly to your router (by changing the Wi-Fi network your smartphone is connected to). If this works, check the repeater settings.

Radiators compatible with the intuis connect solution

All connections must be performed by a qualified person.

First and foremost, your radiators must be from the brands intuis, Muller intuitiv, Airelec, Applimo, Campa, Chaufelec, or Noirot.

To benefit from all the features of the solution, your radiators must be models intelligent and communicative or (with a slot to insert the module). It is also possible to integrate into your intuis connect with Netatmo installation radiators (non-communicating) called "controllable," having a slot to insert the module. They will be controllable in Comfort - Eco - Frost Protection mode (no consumption feedback, no voice control, no temperature adjustment, etc.).

The location of the intuis connect module on my radiator?

Accepted Answer

Do not insert the intuis connect module(s) with Netatmo without being prompted by the application.

Before placing the module in the radiator, refer to its installation and user manual. Also, please read the article: How to install a Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo module in a radiator?

The slot where to insert the module may be covered with a plastic cover or a metal casing.

If the cover is plastic, it can be removed directly as it is attached with clips.
If the cover is metal, the radiator must be removed from the wall and the casing must be unscrewed.

Generally, on horizontal, low, and plinth models, the module slot is located:

Radiators intuis, Muller intuitiv, Applimo, Airelec, Noirot, Chaufelec: the hatch is located to the right of the control panel.
Radiators Campa, intuis signature: the hatch is located to the left of the control panel.

On vertical models as well as on some horizontal modules, the module location is generally under the control box, on the right side of your radiator.

Installing an intuis connect module in a radiator

Accepted Answer

All connections must be made by a qualified person

Before installing the module into the radiator, make sure to have the radiator's installation and user manual and follow the following instructions.

Turn off the main electrical power (at the electrical panel).

Wait, if necessary, for the radiator you are working on to cool down and become safe to handle.

Remove the radiator.
Trace its electrical power cable to the flush-mounted wall junction box (plate screwed to the wall). This plate should be behind the radiator.
Unscrew the cover of the wall junction box, then locate the electrical terminal block (connector, Wago type socket, etc.) where the radiator cable is connected.
Make sure that the radiator's pilot wire (usually black, check with your radiator manual) is isolated from the rest of the installation, no other cable should be connected to it.

(If the radiator's pilot wire is connected to the electrical installation, it is not compatible with the Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo solution. The module should not be placed in the slot and the cover should not be removed).

Example:

Once this check is completed,

Replace the cover of the junction box and the radiator.

Repeat the operation on all radiators equipped with a module, starting again from the step Turn off the main electrical power.

Follow the installation steps described in the Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo application and insert the module only when prompted by the application.

Caution: If your radiator is connected to a Pilot Wire central unit (such as a programmer, energy manager), it is not compatible with installing the module.

Smart radiator compatible with intuis connect

Installations made with smart communicating radiators (Nativ, Smart ECOcontrol, or 3.0 for the Campa brand) offer all the features presented in the intuis connect with Netatmo offer. These installations can be complemented with non-communicating radiators that have a slot to insert the module (FP4 or FP6, for Fil Pilote 4 or 6 orders), which can only be controlled in Comfort, Eco, and Frost protection modes.

Smart communicating radiators offer the following features in connected mode:

Using the Pilot Wire of my Heating Installation

Yes, it is possible to use the pilot wire of your electric heating system. An intuis connect module with Netatmo can control up to 10 radiators maximum on the pilot wire of your system.
In this case, only the communicating smart radiators () must be connected to the pilot wire.

The radiator receiving the intuis connect module with Netatmo must be equipped with a Shunt (accessory sold separately).

Attention: No other equipment should be connected to this pilot wire (Programmer, Load Shedder, etc.). The so-called controllable devices should also not be connected to the pilot wire.

You can override your schedule by:

- Directly adjust the setpoint using the "+" and "-" buttons (or select ECO or COMFORT for pilotable devices).
  This override has a modifiable limited duration in the heating settings. However, you can modify this duration for this override by clicking on the pencil icon next to the "manual setpoint" banner.

Smart ECOcontrol button , your radiator does not appear during the installation process,

please check the following:

Is your module incorrectly connected or inserted?

1. Check that the module's indicator light blinks when you press its Wi-Fi button.
2. Make sure the module is properly inserted into its compartment. It should not protrude from the radiator, and the top of the module should align with the control panel.

If the issue was due to one of these points, you can add your radiator via the "Add a product" menu in the app.

Has your module had enough time to join the radio network?

1. Complete the installation of the other Intuis Connect with Netatmo modules without worrying about the module that has not joined your installation.
2. Manually add the modules that have not joined after completing the installation by following the instructions in this link.

If your radiator is connected via pilot wire to the installation, please refer to your electrician.

You have a Nativ radiator

From the radiator’s settings interface, go to the connectivity menu

Using the control unit's dial, you can adjust the scheduled temperature setpoint. This adjustment is overridden for a defined and adjustable period within the app.

How does the window open detection work ?

Window open detection is an advanced feature that automatically turns off your heating device when a sudden drop in room temperature is detected (e.g., an open window or door).

By activating this feature, you will receive a notification if one of your radiators detects a window opening. If you have closed the window, you can directly "turn on the heating" from the application.

For more information on this feature, refer to the user manual of your device.

It is possible to disable this function for a particular room on the radiator control panel.

How does the heating anticipation work ?

By activating the "Heating Anticipation" function, your radiators anticipate your arrival to ensure that your home is at the right temperature.

The heating anticipation time of your radiator takes into account the thermal characteristics of your rooms, the outside temperature, and the set temperature of your temperature settings. Thus, the anticipation time adapts as best as possible to the actual heating needs of your rooms.

The intuis connect with Netatmo app notifies you in the following cases:

If one of your windows is detected as open. The heating of the room's radiators will be automatically stopped and you can restart it directly in the app.

If you are detected as absent for more than 12 hours while your radiators are still on. We notify you of this absence and thus suggest switching your house to Away or Frost Protection mode until your return.

If you are detected as present while your house was in Away or Frost Protection mode. We notify you of this presence and thus suggest switching your house to the scheduled mode.

On red or white TEMPO days and EJP days, we notify you the day before.

How to share control of my home ?

You can share access to your installation with other users. They will then have the same rights and access as you.

Follow the following steps from the intuis Connect with Netatmo application to share your home:

How to return to the schedule after an override ?

What is a temperature set ?

A temperature set defines the temperatures that will be applied to each room separately over a period of time. Temperature sets are predefined, but you can modify them or create new ones.

For example, you can create the 'shower time' temperature set to have a warmer bathroom at shower time than during the rest of the day. You can also create the 'weekday lunch' temperature set to comfortably heat only the kitchen and dining room at lunchtime.

How to put the house in Frost Protection or Away mode ?

Accepted Answer

The Away and Frost Protection modes function as deviations from the current schedule.

When activated, the schedule settings are no longer followed, while the selected mode imposes its setpoint on all rooms in the house. This setpoint is maintained for a certain duration, which can be determined by the user.

To activate these Away or Frost Protection modes, on the main screen, at the bottom, select either the icon or the icon . Then, you can define the time and date when this mode should stop, and thus the schedule resumes, by tapping the pencil that appears in the same place.

Lorsqu’une absence est détectée dans une pièce, un abaissement de la consigne de température dans la pièce sera automatisé au choix soit :

Progressivement jusqu’à arriver à la température d’absence.
Intelligemment en anticipant ou prolongeant la période du planning abaissant la température de consigne.

Lorsqu’une présence est détectée, la consigne de température repasse sur la consigne planifiée (planning de chauffe) de la pièce.

Durant les jeux de température Économique et Nuit, la fonction d’abaissement n’est pas active.

Il est également possible de désactiver cette fonction si l'on ne souhaite pas d'abaissement dans une pièce en particulier.

Follow the instructions to install the new property.

If the installation already exists but you have not been invited yet

Ask someone who already has access to this installation to go to the main screen of the intuis connect with Netatmo application by tapping on the icon

- on iOS
  - then go to the Manage my guests tab.
Have them select Add a user and enter the email address associated with your intuis connect with Netatmo account.

If the installation already exists and you are among the guests

How can I grant access to my installation to other people?

To allow someone else to access and control your installation, you need to invite them to it.

The person in question must download the Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo application and create their own Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo account with an email address (if they don't already have one).
In the main screen of the application, tap on the icon then select Manage Guests.
Select Invite a user and enter the email address used to create the Muller Intuitiv with Netatmo account for that person.

On our bathroom radiators, there's a Boost function that allows the device to operate temporarily at full power (accompanied by a fan, depending on the radiator model). This function can only be activated from the radiator itself, and the information is visible in the app labeled "BOOST." The intuis Connect with Netatmo application is downloadable from Google Play. Since May 2020, some smartphone models are no longer certified by Google, so they do not use Google Mobile services and consequently Google Play. Our intuis Connect with Netatmo application uses a set of Google services to function, so it is not compatible with another universe of applications and services. The models for which our application is not compatible are as follows:

Dans l'écran principal de l'application intuis Connect with Netatmo, appuyez sur l'icône ou puis sélectionnez Gérer ma maison.

Select the duration of manual setpoint override

Manual setpoints only last for a limited time before the radiators revert to the scheduled mode.

By default, this time is set to 4 hours, but it is adjustable in the heating settings tab, which you can access by clicking on the or icon from the main screen of the Intuis Connect with Netatmo application.

You can also change this duration for a specific override by clicking on the pencil next to the manual setpoint banner that appears. This duration then only applies to the current override.

The Frost Protection and Away modes do not have a default limited duration. You can end them at any time by clicking on the cross, or on a scheduled date in advance. To do this, click on the pencil next to the banner and select the day and time at which you want to return to the schedule.
